The assessments of the Grand Jury Européen are important because they represent the quality of the wines under scrutiny in an objective and professional manner. The wine tasting committee is composed of the owners of wine bars, journalists, connoisseurs, oenotechinicians, producers, and importers from all over the world. I participated one year, chosen by lot from a group of Barbera producers, and can attest that the seriousness and professionalism of the event are of the highest level. And I must add that in the tastings of both the 2006 Barbera in Acqui Terme and the 2004 Barolo in Singapore my wines were well received.
