Decanter, the prestigious English magazine, tasted some of my wines and these are the results.
I am happy that they have awarded prizes to the vintages most expressive of the region’s best: 4 stars for the 2007 Barbera and the 2006 Nebbiolo and 5 stars for the 2006 Barolo Leon. This last will not be ready for commercial sale until 2011. In fact we are allowing the Barolo Leon to age for four years instead of the usual three, to give the powerful tannins more time to mellow. Do you agree with Decanter’s judgments?
