October 30, 2010, the grape harvest is finished. The last Nebbiolo vineyard has been harvested, and the timing was perfect. The clouds and the rain, in fact, took over the sky just minutes after the last crate of grapes was filled. For many years we did not harvest the grapes so late, and I have high expectations for the 2010 vintage, especially for the Nebbiolo, and observations about this year won’t be long to arrive. Now, however, it goes to the wine-making cellar, and there, it is only I that can err.
