Barolo Leon 2004 excels in London

Rivetto’s Barolo Leon 2004 resulted the best one through 57 Barolos in a tasting held by The World of Fine Wine editorial staff. The tasting panel of the famous English magazine, made up for the occasion of Roy Richards, Nicolas Belfrage and Franco Ziliani, awarded the wine from Rivetto dal 1902 after a blind tasting. Waiting for the detailed article that will appear in the magazine early in 2009, here it is the news posted on his blog by Franco Ziliani:«Best wine for me was Barolo Leon, aged for 14 months in small casks of French oak (30% new and 70% 2-3-4 years old) and for 24 months in 30hl casks made of Slavonian oak, a wine I can say also the other tasters liked very much.»
