Between France and Switzerland…

Earlier this month I enjoyed a magnificent evening at the celebrated restaurant Le Cepage in Thoiry, France, a few kilometres from Geneva, where I had the opportunity to present six wines from our line to a group of forty international guests. The most appreciated were the Barbera Zio Nando 2009, the Barolo Leon Riserva 2006 and the ever more surprising Langhe Nascetta 2011.

Quail and Barbera Zio Nando: a perfect pairing!

Wines readying for the event

I would like to thank the splendid Marianne Fredriksson, Swedish owner of Vinotheque du Leman World Wide Wines , who impeccably organised the dinner and tasting.

The Mont Blanc Tunnel

The gorgeous cool, clear November day treated me to alpine panoramas that were spectacular to say the least, keeping me company throughout my return trip.

Following this event, another Alps experience awaited me: the Merano Wine Festival in Alto Adige!
