In the middle of March, the temperatures were absolutely spring-like. Those lovely days helped nature awaken and as a result, the germination of the grape vines is imminent. The nice temperatures make it easy to work in the fields. This is what we have been up to:
Tying the young vines to the stake, to help them to grow more regularly and to keep the machines from ruining them.
Trimming the grass between the rows, to clean up the area next to the vines.
Cutting up the pruned parts now heaped up in the rows and taking it away, accumulating chips that we will then use as compost.
All under the careful watch of our puppy, Tommy. :)
