At the event of the year, BaroloBrunello, the Barolo Briccolina 2009 will be the ambassador for the tannins of Serralunga d’Alba, together with the Barolo Leon Riserva 2008 and other excellent examples of Barolo and Brunello production!
In the process of transformation from grape to wine, man’s intervention is minimalist: we let the grapes express themselves, man assists with the process without invading it. A simple thought, difficult to carry out. In order to begin this return journey to old traditions we have chosen the Briccolina vineyard.
Our approach to viticulture and wine-making is both old and futuristic at the same time. Anticipating a necessity perceived by all of humanity, we realized that in order to go forward it is necessary to recover the best of our past, return to our origins.
The year 2009 that we’ll offer at BaroloBrunello can be described with only one word: pleasantness. It was a hot year with cool nights and rainfall at the right moment. The result is a Barolo characterized by fruity notes as well as powerful and opulent tannins, rich and with good structure. Immediately appreciable.
We’re expecting you 21st November (from 13:00 to 19:30) and 22nd November (from 10:00 to 14:30) at the Castle of Barolo. For anyone who at the Friday evening dinner, we’ll offer Magnum Barolo Leon 2004 and Magnum Barolo Briccolina 2009.
