The excellence of Barolo in Munich
On Monday, November 15, a tasting featuring around twenty Barolo producers was held at the Bayerischer Hof hotel in Munich. The event was organized by the Barolo Barbaresco Consortium of Alba, in collaboration with the wine journal Vinum. My brother Alessandro participated and introduced our most prestigious range of wines to the specialized German public. The organization of the event was impeccable and the professionalism was absolute, fully worthy of a product as important as Barolo. Highlights from Piemonte wines in London
There could not have been a better choice than the elegant Institute of Directors of London for hosting thirty Barolo producers, who presented their wines last Monday to the specialized British public. The organization of the event was entrusted to the wine journal, Decante, under the direction of the communications agency, Wellcom di Alba. I agree with Franco Ziliani that on his blog vinoalvino he speaks about innovative Barbera Meeting, where the wine bloggers are the real protagonists of event. It will be very difficult, in my opinion impossibile to think about organizing a similar event in Piemonte or elsewhere, consciously doing without bloggers, the good ones, who write serious and magisterial things and give opinions (and they are in Italy like outside).
